Tyfo® Fibrwrap® Systems The Tyfo® Fibrwrap® Systems are

In the late 1980’s Ed Fyfe of Fyfe Co was approached by the California Transportation Authority to provide an alternative product to the heavy and cumbersome steel jacketing installed on highway bridge columns which provide ductility in the event of seismic activity. After rigorous testing the result was a specially engineered fabric together with a highly durable epoxy resin which exceeded expectations in its performance and properties. Since then the now branded Tyfo® FRP (Fibre Reinforced Polymer) systems have been further developed and tested to meet a multitude of engineering seismic retrofit requirements. The Tyfo® system has now been installed on thousands of projects around the world and is recognised as the market leader.
