Christchurch

  1. Ballantynes City Centre. Both MC-Injekt 2300NV flexible polyurethane to seal basement cracks and MC-DUR 1264 FF structural epoxy resin were the products of choice to repair this iconic Christchurch building.
  2.

  1. St George Hospital Car Park. Despite the challenging weather conditions currently being experienced throughout New Zealand the unique properties of MC-Bauchemie concrete repair materials Emcecrete SCC and Emcecrete RS being able to tolerate the cold environment, and MC-DUR 1264 FF epoxy injection resin being able to tolerate damp conditions, repair works were able to be carried out to programme.

  3. 7 Winston St Papanui. Just completed, the installation of Tyfo SCH 41 FRP (Fibre Reinforced Polymer) to structurally enhance building components. The high strength characteristics of this carbon fabric material together with its light weight and minimal profile properties made Tyfo SCH 41 FRP ideal for this project.

We are proud to announce that 2010 saw the opening of our southern office in Christchurch. Although Concrete Solutions has over the years carried out specialised applications in the South Island the events of the Christchurch earthquakes has caused a greater demand for our specialised applications in the region. Of particulars note are our systems for Crack Injection, Composite Strengthening (FRP) and the grouting of historical Unreinforced Masonry (URM) structures.

Bridge Joints

At the beginning of 2011 we were successful in our bid for the NZTA Bridge Joint  Replacement contract on the Thorndon Overbridge and Otaki Bridge, State Highway 1. The Wellington City Council’s Kelburn Viaduct was also successfully completed in March 2011. The unique properties of the MC-Nafutekt Plus Systems ensures that these assets are protected for years to come.

Ballast Bond

Concrete Solutions was employed by KiwiRail to install a safe walkway passage for train drivers to walk on the ballast at the Morningside Railway Station in Auckland. To carry out this application MC-Ballast bond was used to bond the ballast material together yet allow the natural drainage of the ballast design.

Gel Injection

Vehicle Testing New Zealand (VTNZ) has used our acrylic gel system MC-Injekt GL 95 to form new waterproof membranes to leaking service pits at their Kaitaia Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch branches. This unique approach to seal behind the service pit’s  subterranean walls while keeping the service pits operational has proved a very successful formula.
